Samsung telah memulai debut Galaxy S III pertengahan tahun lalu, kini pabrikan asal Korea ini merlis sang suksesor yang diharapkan dapat terjangkau ke segmen lebih luas dengan meluncurkan Galaxy S III Mini. Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini mewarisi desain kakaknya tersebut dengan bodi lebih kecil dan harga lebih murah karena beberapa spek diturunkan.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini i8190 dibekali dengan layar berukuran 4.0 inci resolusi WVGA 480 x 800 piksel. Seperti biasa, Samsung menggunakan layar Super AMOLED pada setiap produk kelas high-endnya, termasuk posnel Android terbaru ini. Hadir dengan dimensi 121.6 x 63 x 9.9 mm, bentuknya lebih kecil dan lebih ringan tapi juga lebih tebal. Untuk urusan hiburan, si mungil ini punya andalan berupa kamera 5MP dan kamera depan VGA yang merupakan downgrade dari S3 asli. Harga awal yang di kisaran 3.5 jutaan menurut saya terlalu mahal dengan spek seperti inni.

Sebagai dapur pacu, S3 Mini dipersenjatai oleh prosesor 1GHz dual core dan RAM berkapasitas 1GB untuk menjalankan OS Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean yang diusungnya. Ponsel ini dibekali dengan baterai berkapasitas 1500mAh yang memiliki ketahanan selama 450 h (2G) / Up to 430 h (3G) standby dan waktu bicara mencapai 14 jam.
